Supreme Court of Mexico confirms that homosexuals can adopt children in the capital

After confirming the validity of homosexual marriage in Mexico City in the last 05 days, the Supreme Court of Mexico confirmed yesterday, 16 that gay couples may adopt children in the Mexican capital...

Of the 11 judges, nine were in favor of the adoption according to law passed by parliament of the city in March this year. The bill amending the Civil Code says that gays and lesbians could adopt children.

However, the Supreme Court decided to examine the case separately. With the ratification of the adoption process, the Mexican justice puts a shovel of lime in the grumbling of conservatives such as Cardinal Juan Sandoval Iñiguez, accusing the court of taking bribes from the Mexico City mayor Marcelo Ebrard to ratify the law.
